Brand Story Film, Student Experience

The Challenge:
Many parents recognize that music classes support children’s mental development, creativity, teamwork, and even physical coordination. However, music is often seen as secondary compared to academic subjects.

For SmallGiant Music, the goal was to create a brand story film featuring founder Shane Goh — sharing how he transformed his early dislike for music into passion, and eventually built a space where young minds can come together to learn and grow through music.

In short, we wanted parents to see for themselves how a music camp experience can benefit their children in the long run.

The Strategy: We conducted a conversation-style interview with Shane, diving into his journey — from reluctantly attending piano lessons taught by his mother, to gradually discovering his love for music. His further studies in Australia eventually inspired him to start SmallGiant Music.

The film showcases how his classes are conducted in a “camp-style” format, where students are exposed to different instruments, interactive games, and collaborative activities. These sessions ultimately build toward a full band experience, giving students confidence and teamwork skills.

The key intention of the film was to let parents experience the classes through the eyes of their children — helping them understand what their kids go through, and why music education can play a meaningful role in their development.

The Outcome: The video was published on the school’s website and social media platforms, serving as a strong introduction to SmallGiant Music’s story and values.

Shorter versions were also created and reformatted for Instagram, which were later used in marketing assets, advertisements, and sponsored posts — extending the film’s reach while maintaining a consistent brand narrative.
